Get certified for the job you have. Stay ready for the one that's next.
Find my cert →We're building the credential systemthe next decade will need.
Every job is changing. The certifications people hold need to change with them. CertiComply is the credential operating system for the AI economy: state-approved courses, machine-readable certificates, and a compliance layer built for the way work actually works now.
The thesis
The American workforce is in the middle of the largest reskilling event in modern history. The workforce is changing fast. New roles are emerging, existing ones are evolving, and employers need a faster way to verify that workers are qualified. Each of these shifts creates new training requirements, new compliance obligations, and new credentials that didn't exist eighteen months ago. The certification industry, built for an era when careers were stable for thirty years, was not designed for this.
We see three structural problems. The platforms people use to get certified haven't changed much since the early 2000s: slow video players, testing centers, mailed PDFs. The credentials they issue are static, a piece of paper that says someone passed an exam on a Tuesday three years ago. And the systems that increasingly need to verify those credentials, HRIS platforms, ATS systems, and the people who rely on them, have nothing to query. The infrastructure that should connect workers, employers, and regulators in real time simply doesn't exist.
CertiComply is being built to be that infrastructure. Real state-approved courses, completed on the device people actually use. Certificates that are machine-readable, expiry-tracked, and queryable through a public API. An AI compliance agent that monitors regulatory changes and acts before something becomes a problem. We work within regulatory frameworks. Regulators set the standards, and those standards exist for good reasons. We're building the delivery layer that makes those standards reachable for everyone.
The blueprint
Four layers. One credential graph. All public, all queryable, all designed to outlast any single platform.
- L4THE CREDENTIAL GRAPH API
A public API that lets HRIS platforms, ATS systems, and AI agents query credentials in real time. GET /api/v1/certs/:id returns structured JSON. The infrastructure layer that connects workers, employers, and regulators.
- L3CERTISEAL VERIFICATION
CertiSeal is an open verification standard - not a CertiComply feature. Every credential carries a unique machine-readable ID, a public verification URL, and tamper-evident metadata. Any issuer can implement it. Any querier can verify against it. The specification lives at certicomply.com/standards.
- L2THE AI COMPLIANCE LAYER
The Smart Cert Finder maps intent to credential. The compliance agent monitors expirations, regulatory changes, and team gaps continuously. Auto-enrollment, renewal queues, and live audit packages, all automated.
- L1STATE-APPROVED CURRICULUM
Every course is approved by the issuing regulatory authority: CDPH, TREC, NASBA, DOL OSHA, NIPR, and others. We hold the approvals. We pay the renewal fees. We submit completion data on the day, in the format the state requires.
What we believe
Five principles that don't change, no matter what we ship next.
- I.
A credential should never be a dead end.
A piece of paper that says you knew something on a Tuesday three years ago is worse than no credential at all. Every cert we issue is machine-readable, expiry-tracked, and renewable in one click. When the world changes, the credential moves with you.
- II.
Compliance is care.
A line cook with food safety training doesn't make people sick. A nurse with current CE keeps her license. A multi-location operator with up-to-date training doesn't get shut down. Behind every compliance requirement is a person who is safer because someone took it seriously. We take it seriously so the people who depend on it can focus on doing their job.
- III.
AI changes work, not the need for trust.
As job titles shift and roles dissolve, the question "is this person trained for what they're doing?" becomes more important, not less. The credentialing layer of the economy is not optional infrastructure for the AI era. It is foundational. We're building it that way from day one. CertiSeal is the public primitive: open schema, any issuer, any subject type - humans today, machines and agents tomorrow.
- IV.
The path forward must be human.
A new hire shouldn't need to know which form to fill out for which state. A small business owner shouldn't need to read fifty state regulations. Our goal is to make compliance so straightforward that people can meet their requirements without it taking over their day.
- V.
We run with regulators, not around them.
State approval bodies, accreditation councils, and professional associations are partners in this work, not obstacles. The future of compliance training is more rigorous, not less. More auditable, not less. We will be the most compliant compliance training platform on the internet.
The horizon
Where credentials are going over the next five years, and why we're already building it.
- 2026
The industry crosses the API line.
By the end of this year, every major HRIS will require API-based credential verification for new hires. PDF certificates start being treated as second-class evidence. CertiComply's public verification API is already live.
- 2028
Verifiable Credentials become the floor.
W3C Verifiable Credentials transition from a spec to a regulatory expectation for licensed professions. Every credential will need to be cryptographically signed and machine-readable. CertiComply will be VC-native well ahead of this horizon.
- 2030
The credential graph is the workforce.
Job platforms, AI hiring agents, government licensing systems, and continuing-education boards all query a unified credential graph. A worker's complete professional standing is queryable in real time, with their consent, by any authorized system. CertiComply is building toward this, and we're open to working with others in the industry who want the same outcome.
What we'll never do
Strong opinions, publicly held. The clearest way to know what a company stands for is to know what it refuses to be.
We will never sell a credential that isn't approved by the issuing authority. "Industry-recognized" is a phrase we will not use about ourselves.
We will never charge to verify a cert. Verification is free, public, and unauthenticated. Any employer, regulator, or system can check a certificate without a login.
We will never hide cert validity behind a paywall. If a credential you earned with us is real, it's real forever. Lapse policies are set by the regulator, not by us.
We will never store credit card numbers. Stripe handles payment processing. We don't see your card, ever.
We will never sell or share your training data. Your completion records are yours and the issuing authority's. They are not a marketing dataset.
We will never claim AI features we haven't shipped. If it's on the site, it works in the product. If it doesn't work yet, you won't see us promising it.
